Great Wall is finalizing development of the next-generation Haval H9 SUV, which is slated to begin serial production in October 2021.
The project is currently known under the internal designation P03. The car will be built on the basis of the frame SUV Wey Tank 300, the Chinese sales of which began at the end of last year. In China, the car is available with a two-liter gasoline turbo engine developing 227 hp. and 387 Nm of torque, which is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
According to unofficial data, the next Haval H9 will receive a forced version of this engine, or such a motor will be part of a hybrid power plant. Distinctive features of the H9 will be reliability, cross-country ability, as well as the presence of modern “smart” functions.
